McDonald's rewards acts of kindness on Twitter

Tampa Bay, Florida -- Most of us perform random acts of kindness every day including holding the door open for someone, helping someone with their groceries, etc. and McDonald's wants to reward those acts.

Mail carriers will collect food to help Stamp Out Hunger

Tampa, Florida -- On Saturday, May 11, residents across the country will be asked to join the U.S. Postal Service and its letter carriers to help combat hunger -- by leaving food at their mailboxes.

The one-day food drive is the nation's largest single-day food drive across America -- including Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands.

Residents are encouraged to leave nonperishable foods, such as canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, rice or cereal next to their mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery on Saturday, May 11.

Teen fakes abduction attempt, files false police report

Spring Hill, Florida-- A 15-year-old was arrested in Spring Hill after she lied to deputies about a man's attempt to abduct her earlier this week. 

According to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, the teen called to make the report on Monday night around 10, and when deputies arrived to investigate, she went into great detail about a man's attempt to abduct her. 

She reportedly told them she was walking in the Spring Haven Apartment complex when a "Hispanic male grabbed her from behind", placed his hand over her mouth and told her not to scream. 

Man arrested for exposing himself at a park

Hernando County, Florida -- A man has been arrested for exposing himself to a woman and her two children. 

On April 28 at approximately 6 p.m., a woman and her two children were playing on the playground at the Anderson Snow Sports Complex. When they were finished playing, they walked to the car.

As the family approached their car they saw a man, later identified as Adam Griffith, sitting in a gray car parked a few spots away.  

The male's genitals were exposed, and he was fondling himself.

Update: Missing teens

Hernando County, Florida -- The two missing teens have been found. 

The Hernando County Sheriff's Office was asking for the public's help locating two missing and endangered teens.

Deputies believed 16-year-old Matthew Joswick and his 14-year-old girlfriend, Jamie Meyers, are traveling on foot.

Both teens were found and returned to their parents. 

Clouds and rain back in the forecast today

Clouds and a few sprinkles are have rolled in this morning, but more rain is headed this way later today.  The unsettled weather continues into Friday before we gradually see decreasing rain chances through Sunday.
