Man arrested for fly swatter assault

Brooksville, Florida -- Hernando deputies say they've arrested a Brooksville man for attacking his roommate with a fly swatter.

According to the arrest report, Dale Barr was sitting a recliner on Saturday when 66-year-old Jack Henderson Coston Jr. approached him and began to slap him gently with the plastic end of the fly swatter.

Coston then allegedly turned the fly swatter around and struck Barr with the metal handle, leaving a small cut next to Barr's right eye.

Barr ran to his bedroom, where he awaited law enforcement.
