Carrollwood, Florida - Mail carriers will take part in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Residents can leave non-perishable food item by their mailbox and the letter carrier will pick it up. The food will be donated to food banks to distribute to needy citizens.

Last year, over 70-million pounds of food was donated across the country.

If you cannot leave food items by your mailbox, you can drop it by your local post office.

Hernando County, Florida-- Local law enforcement officers ask for your support as they participate in the annual Torch Run for Special Olympics on Monday, April 15.

Hernando County is one of 66 in Florida to participate in this event each year. Those 66 counties add up to more than 5,000 officers from over 300 agencies- all running and "carrying the torch" on a 1500 mile relay to benefit the athletes of the Special Olympics.
