Hernando County Tourism Bureau holds Ribbon Cutting and Open House | Community Spirit

The Hernando County Tourism Bureau, with the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce, hosted a Ribbon Cutting and Open House at their new Visitor Information Center and Tourism Bureau on Thursday, Feb. 9.

Attendees had the opportunity to tour the new location, which now includes office space for the entire Tourism staff, a nature coast preserve display and graphic elements representing all of the major tourism assets of the County.

"We're very excited about our new location," said Tammy Heon, Tourism Development Coordinator, in a release. "Already we are seeing an increase in walk-in visitors requesting information and directions. Our increased visibility and proximity to I-75 provide a significant opportunity to reach more travelers. Once we get them through the door we can tell them about our wonderful community and influence their decisions on where they will stay while visiting Florida."
