Woman arrested after falling asleep in Burger King drive-thru | Crime
Hernando County, Florida -- A Hudson woman was arrested after deputies say she fell asleep in the Burger King drive-thru early Wednesday morning.
Investigators say someone noticed Dana Larson Damiani, 40, asleep in her car in the drive-thru of the restaurant. Then, she woke up and drove northbound on Commercial Way, according to a witness.
Damiani's vehicle then rear-ended another vehicle that was stopped at the intersection of Commercial Way and Forest Oaks Boulevard.
Deputies say Damiani showed signs of impairment and had a Xanax pill in her purse. Also in her purse, deputies found a tightly-rolled business card with green residue, according to the arrest report.
Damiani was arrested for DUI, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
