Spots still available in Weeki Wachee Mermaid Camp for kids

Spring Hill, FL -- Space is still available in Weeki Wachee Springs State Park's Adventures Under the Spring Mermaid Camp.

The camp is open to children age 7 to 10 and runs the weekend of May 17th and 18th.

The camp will teach kids what it's like to be an underwater performer at Weeki Wachee Springs through training sessions in the water each day.

On the last day of camp, the underwater theater will be open for all parents and friends to watch the performance the campers have learned.

Hernando County, Floria-- The Hernando County Sheriff's Office Youth Education Services, Inc. will be hosting their 12th Annual Bowling Extravaganza, on Saturday, July 14, 2012. 

Registration will begin at noon, and the bowling at 1 p.m. 

Spring Hill Lanes, 3447 Commercial Way in Spring Hill, hosts this annual event.

Teams, and individual bowlers are welcome!

For those of you interested in contributing in other ways, they are accepting lane sponsorship and prize donations.

Brooksville, Florida-- The Historic Hernando Preservation Society presents the Secret Garden Home Tour, an event that offers tours of two immaculately decorated homes and their gardens.

Attendees can expect to see a wide-range of beautiful, blooming flowers, and indulge in a French Picnic on the lawn of the museum.

The tour begins at the May-Stringer Museum at 601 Museum Court in Brooksville.

Admission costs $5, but attendees 12 and under are free.

Hernando County, Florida-- On Saturday, April 21 at Linda Pedersen Park, Hernando County Parks & Recreation hosts its 4th annual Reggae SunFest.

From noon-9 p.m., come out and enjoy the sunshine, music and good times!

The event features live reggae music , craft vendors, and beer/wine and food vendors, some of which will sell an islander's ideal meal, jerk chicken on a stick!

According to the Hernando Parks & Recreation's recent release, opening entertainment includes a local band, a drum circle and Belly dancing.

The story is about Cornelius "Corney" Graham and Lisa Cataldo, two individuals on the run from drug smugglers, and even the law.
