City employee steals 700 pounds of metal | News
Brooksville, FL -- A City of Brooksville employee was arrested Thursday for stealing over 700 pounds of metal.
According to Brooksville Police, an investigation revealed 29-year-old Mark Angel Cavanagh, of Homossasa, stole the metal from the City of Brooksville Public Works Department and sold it to a recycling center in Citrus County for 1,118.30.
Cavanagh was working at the public works department at the time of the theft. He is being charged with Grand Larceny and is being held on $2,000 bond.
