Comparing temperatures from May 2011 to May 2010 in Brooksville - Updated | News
Good evening everyone! As promised, here is an update to last week's article regarding average May high temperatures in 2010 and 2011.
As I was looking through the data from my first article, I realized I did not round my numbers properly.
To ensure best accuracy, I am going to correct my data. In my previous article, I said that May 2010 had an average daily high temperature of 88 degrees.
Actually, it was 88.8 degrees. If you round it up, that equates to 89 degrees. The average daily high for May 2011 was 88.3. Rounded down, it was actually 88 degrees.
So, when all was said and done, May 2010 ended up 1 degree warmer than May 2011.
Above is an image showing daily temperature values from May 2010 and May 2011, for your viewing pleasure. My weather station can be found here.
