Tampa, Florida-- Money Monday is going to the dogs!

We've helped to find close to a million dollars for many of our 10 News viewers that is just sitting in Florida's unclaimed cash and property account, but  then we thought, "What if we could help pets?" 

Heather van Nest took a closer look at different groups that help abused, neglected and abandoned animals, and to no surprise, was able to find unclaimed cash!

Hernando County, Florida-- Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis urges residents to remain aware of their surroundings after three bombs were detonated, and others were found near the finish line of the Boston Marathon Monday afternoon.

2 arrested in gas station "Spice" bust

Weeki Wachee, Florida-- Two Mobil Gas Station employees are behind bars after they were caught with "Spice" for sale in their store. 

Hernando County Sheriff's officials say the owner, 51-year-old Gregory Jones, and manager, 64-year-old  Shirley Lane, were at the gas station when Vice and Narcotics detectives showed up around 9:45 Friday morning.

Bucs accepting noms for "Mother's Day Makeovers"

Tampa, Florida --  The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Fourth Annual "Mother's Day Makeover" program is giving away a once-in-a-lifetime experience to 50 mothers from Central Florida in honor of Mother's Day. 

Continuing the tradition from 2012, the Buccaneers are excited to support military moms who go above and beyond for their loved ones.

Counties conduct Spring Break safety operation

Florida -- Counties across Florida worked to protect youth who may experiment with drugs and alcohol during Spring Break in event called Operation Dry Spring. 

Sarasota, Hernando and Manatee County all participated in the operation which was a combined effort between the counties respective sheriff offices and the Florida Sheriffs Task Force. 

The operation lasted from March 4 to March 7 and deputies targeted underage youth in possession of alcohol, tobacco or synthetic drugs as well as businesses selling these substances to underage youth. 

10 News Taste Testers try McDonald's Premium McWrap!

St. Petersburg, Florida-- The 10 News Taste Testing Team is at it again, this time with three versions of the new McDonald's Premium McWrap.

The team chose to sample McDonald's new wraps because the fast-food joint plans to sell them for a steal- just two dollars- through April 11.

But, that isn't the only promise they kept!
