Hernando County, Florida-- According to a Hernando County release, the Hernando County Engineering Department deemed the Elgin Boulevard road widening project substantially complete.

They say county staff is currently working with the contractor on punch list items, and expects to have these issues completed by the end of April.

Shady Hills, FL -- This weekend may be challenging to get out and continue shopping, but if you like Christmas parades then you won't mind!

Next Saturday, Dec. 3, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Shady Hills Road will be closed from Caldwall Lane to Lenway Road for a Christmas Parade.

The parade is expected to start at the Mary Giella Elementary School and then proceed North on Shady Hills Road to Greenglen Lane. A detour shall be provided.
