Brooksville, FL - Beef 'O' Brady's is hoping to raise $7,500 for the family of John Mecklenburg, a Hernando Sheriff's deputy who's cruiser crashed into a tree during a pursuit in July.

Dan Heavrin is an operating partner of the Beef's of Brooksville and is hosting a day of family fun to get money for Mecklenburg's wife and two young children.

The event will be staged outside the Beef 'O' Brady's at 7601 Horse Lake Road in Brooksville and begins at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18.

Spring Hill, Florida -- The Greater Hernando Chamber of Commerce is holding a 'Networking at Noon' event at 5 Boroughs Sports Bistro in Spring Hill this Friday.

The restaurant is located at 1252 Mariner Boulevard.

The cost is $10 with RSVP, $15 at the door and $20 to non-Chamber members. 

Spring Hill, FL -- The Hernando County Health Department has received confirmation that at least three of the individuals who were tested following a recent illness outbreak in Spring Hill, have tested positive for norovirus.

At least 100 people who dined at or were in contact with someone who dined at Kally K’s Restaurant between March 6 and March 11 experienced severe diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and other gastrointestinal symptoms approximately 30 hours after eating food at the restaurant.
