Spring Hill, Florida -- April 21, at the Wellington Clubhouse will have some jazz presented by the Hudson Middle School Jazz Band. 

The event is free for members of the Hernandon Jazz Society, for non-members tickets cost $10.00.

Register now for second high school teachers workshop

Tampa Bay, Florida -- All Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate high school teachers from Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Manatee and Sarasota counties are invited to participate in a one-day workshop at The University of Tampa on Saturday, Feb. 23, to learn how to inspire students to take their interest in chemistry outside of the classroom.

The free event will be held in the Plant Hall Music Room on campus from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes lunch. The media is welcome to attend.

Coalition hosts special board meeting to discuss age range

The Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando Counties, Inc. will host a special, public meeting of the Board of Directors to discuss the age range for School Readiness services (subsidized child care).

The meeting, which will be open to the public, will be held at Pasco-Hernando Community College (PHCC), Building C—Room C205, on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting is the result of yearlong discussions about an increasing waitlist for School Readiness services.

Brooksville, FL -- Hernando County Supervisor of Elections Shirley Anderson wants all local college or university students to know they can apply for a $1,200 scholarship through the Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections, or FSASE.
