About Me:
I am a home schooled high school senior with an extreme interest in weather. Below, I have listed some of the weather-related activities I am involved in...
I am the Lead Forecaster for Foot's Forecast Central Florida. Foot's Forecast is a nation-wide group of high school student weather forecasters, with over 40 forecasters in 13 states. Check us out, and "Like" us for daily Central FL weather forecasts and up-to-the-minute severe weather updates at www.facebook.com/ffcentralflorida. We cover the following counties: Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Polk, Lake, Sumter, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Orange, Seminole, Hardee, De Soto, Sarasota, Highlands, and Manatee.
I am a Skywarn Storm Spotter for the National Weather Service in Ruskin, as well as the Recording Secretary for the West Central Florida Chapter of the American Meteorological Society. I am also doing an internship with Mike Mogil, a meteorologist based in Naples (he is also Director of the NOAA Weather Camp at Howard University, a math tutor, and weather educator).
Lastly, I have a web site dedicated to my interest in weather, www.suncoaststormwatch.com.
Outside of weather, I am an avid reader, with Harry Potter and Star Wars being among my favorite books. I also enjoy basketball, computers, and studying history.
